Danny Jackson, Captain, US Army (Ret.) enlisted in 2005 into the Texas National Guard while attending Texas A&M University. Upon graduation with a bachelors degree he commissioned into the active army in 2008 as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers. After completing his training, he met his first unit, the 46th Engineers in Iraq. While assigned to the 46th Engineers he was a platoon leader in two different companies before being promoted to First Lieutenant and assigned as an Executive Officer.
Danny pinned Captain while in the 46th and had a change in duty station shortly after to complete his company command course. While attending the course he received his Masters of Business Administration at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Danny was moved again to Fort Hood Texas where he took command of the 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, Headquarters and Headquarters Company. Upon taking command, he deployed his unit to Afghanistan for months in Laghman Province. In 2017, Danny was medically retired from the Army and his pursuit to starting up ArmyRedfishAnglers began.
