Growing up in rural Indiana, Jared was constantly exploring the outdoors. His father would take him fishing on the many lakes and ponds around his property. It was Jared’s first catch with his father at the age of four that he remembers most about his childhood. It was at that moment that Jared was hooked.
Jared would go fishing almost every weekend throughout his adolescent and teen years. According to his mom, every moment spent off the basketball court was a moment spent outdoors, in the woods, or on the water. Jared was addicted, and his addiction only grew with age and experience.
