Tim Horton stormed on the scene of the fishing world in 2000, when he was the only angler in the history of the sport to win the BASS Angler of the Year and Rookie of the Year during the same season. Since then he has been a four time Bassmaster Champion and qualified for 11 Bassmaster Classics. Tim is one of the most recognized and respected anglers on the professional tournament trail. After graduating from college, Tim started a program called Fishing for Kids. In this program, Tim has provided the opportunity for over 2000 fishing and boating trips for special needs children and adults.
In 2006, Tim began doing television with the popular show Classic Patterns. Through this show, Tim created a personal passion of teach to those eager to learn. With Classic Patterns, Tim helped create several instructional DVD's that are still sold today. Since then, Tim has been on several different made for television programs. In 2007 Tim was on the initial cast of The Bass Pros, which today is one of the highest rated shows in outdoor television. He has also been featured on such shows as Scouting for Adventure, Outdoor World Television, The Bassmasters, Ultimate Match Fishing, Exposed, Major League Fishing, and made multiple appearances on Fox and Friends. In 2013, Tim launched the Annual Timmy Horton High School Challenge in which close to 200 high schools kids competed for $20,000 in scholarship monies.
Timmy Horton Outdoors was launch in the first quarter of 2013. It quickly became one of the most popular and talked about new shows in all of the outdoor programming broadcasts. Today it is still one of the most popular outdoor programming shows on the networks, as is reflecting in It’s networks ratings. Timmy notes, The feedback we are getting from the show just fuels my passion for teaching and sharing that much more. Nothing is cooler for me than to see and hear about our fans having the same success on their waters from tactics learned on our show.
