Jacobson Park is a public park operated by the Lexington-Fayette County Urban Government. Within the park is a reservoir that serves the city. This reservoir is open to fishing.

Most of the 218,000 acre park is a peninsula accessible only by water. A few areas on the mainland that are accessible by car, for example Crane Lake is accessible by car.
