WFN Presents Ice Block, a Five-Hour Marathon of Dedicated Ice Fishing Shows from Across North America Beginning Sunday at 7 p.m. ET
WFN: World Fishing Network, the leading entertainment destination and digital resource for anglers throughout North America, will air Ice Block, a five-hour programming marathon dedicated to ice fishing, on Sunday, Jan. 13 beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
As the days of drilling a hole and sitting and waiting for a fish to swim by becomes a thing of the past, strategy, mobility and technology have become more prevalent in the sport over recent years. Ice Block covers the action from varied parts of the United States and Canada as anglers from six different shows that air on WFN put their theories and practices to the test.
Ice Block starts at 7 p.m. ET with one hour of Water & Woods, hosted by John Gillespie, followed by a trio of Canadian Sportfishing episodes at 8 p.m. ET as host Italo Labignan and team go for jumbo perch, brook trout and whitefish. An episode of Fish TV that airs at 9:30 p.m. ET precedes back-to-back episodes of Hooked on Utah at 10 p.m. ET featuring ice fishing on Birch Creek and Pelican Lake. Later at 11 p.m. ET, The Next Bite heads out onto Lake Winnipeg in search of walleye with an episode of Angler West TV rounding out the Ice Block marathon at 11:30 p.m. ET.

The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries have announced that June 8 and 9 will be “Free Fishing Weekend” for Louisiana citizens and visitors.
The North Carolina Division 5 of the Toyota Bassmaster Weekend Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, will hold its second tournament of the season May 25, 2013, on Kerr Lake.
The Arkansas Division 12 of the Toyota Bassmaster Weekend Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, will hold its third tournament of the season May 25, 2013, on Greers Ferry Lake.
Timothy Jones worked a shaky head to win the ABA Bassmaster Weekend Series Virginia Division 19 tournament on Lake Anna.
Kris Wilson found a shad spawn that led to victory in the ABA Bassmaster Weekend Series South East Texas Division 10 tournament on Lake Sam Rayburn.
