Local teams of bass anglers flocked to the Potomac River in Brunswick on Saturday, February 4, 2012 to participate in the 4th Annual St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Bass Tournament to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital which raised $1,921from the anglers and 50/50 raffle with Doug Zittle and Jason Barrick donating a portion of their winning and David Burdette and Butch Capino donating back their winnings which will help benefit the young patients of St. Jude. As engines roared off, leaving behind the waves of not only the desire for the big catch, but the ripples of their philanthropic duty.
The event was not only filled with water sports, sponsors such as The Anglers; Mayor Jones and Councilman Stull, City of Brunswick; Skeeter Boats; Jim "Pint" Kline, Leather Crafts; K&R Engraving; HBI Roll Offs; World Fishing Network; Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Company; Brunswick Police Department; Rob Shaffer; Wiley-X; Sam, Toni & Josh Donini; Tim Moore; Roy and Matt Hoffman; Maryland DNR; and Sam Baker gave a helping hand, prizes were provided to the fisherman, volunteers, and all involved.
