WFN sent me a pack of the new Berkely havoc Deuce which are designed by Gary Klein .I paired this soft plastic up with a 1/4 ounce title shot jig head and a silicone flippin jig skirt in black with blue,purple fleck. I only had the chance to fish these once on a small reservoir and I am glad I did I only took my Denali 7'4" multi purpose rod paired with a curado 201E7 ,The curado is spooled
As you can see the Lake was like glass for our couple hours of perch fishing we didn't catch a tonne of fish but we did catch 16 nice Lake Erie Jumbo's enough for a meal and we had a very relaxing evening on the water here's a couple pics of the fish.
I went out to try for some creek browns but the river was like a double double :wallbash: so I headed to a local resivior and tried for some WGSF and mabye a big resi brown well I caught a whack of these. I first saw the new X-zones Lures Swammer at the Toronto Sportsman show at the CSFL Megatank in a demonstration by WFN Pro Gord Pyzer who was explaining how good they were on Erie for small mouth bass .I though wow those would be amazing for pike if they were a bit bigger than the 4" version Gord was demonstrating so when I heard that Mark Kulik Owner of X-zone lures came out with a 5.75" version
Had my First tourney of the year on saturday we did OK considering how slow it was I think we were in the middle of the standings with 20 teams .blast off was a lot more fun when your not the slowest boat out there I found out that lunds can fly as we were doing 40mph and hit a 4' wave that came out of no where and the hole boat came out of the water we made the long run from pt Rowan all the way
