Stanley Jigs

Stanley Jigs

Back a few years I tried and tried to fish a jig no luck my problem was simple I did not know where to fish them, I was currently fishing a deep, deep clear lake and I was fishing it like a worm. ***** Wrong!!!

They dropped the lake some 18 feet and exposed trees that had not seen daylight in 50 years I pitched a Stanley living rubber jig in a tree top and thump not a tap not a worm bite but a thump that I had not felt before  so I set the hook and my first jig fish was history. Every time I came across a tree top that day I put a jig in there and for the most part a fish. I was hooked.

All these years later I still do the same thing on anybody of  water and it pays off for a jig is a reaction bite as it falls past them, now the speed can be a little hard to determine so I start out light 3/16 ounce then progress up. a rule of thumb for me clearer the water the lighter I go and the dirtier the bigger I go. The reason fish can see a long ways in clear water and smaller less invasive but dirty water harder to see so use their lateral lines and move some water.

For years I have been guilty of trying the hot jig on the market but sooner or later I go back to Stanley jigs, the quality   and style catch fish. What else needs to be said?

I have had the opportunity to meet Lonnie Stanley over the years and he is always the same talking fishing and how to catch fish on his products. The one thing that we need to remember he is a fisherman and fished BASS for years.  He comes out with new products and all catch fish that I have tried.

Oh yeah the only spinner bait in my arsenal of lures yeah you guessed it Stanley vibra shaft same reason they catch fish.

So go look at his new shaky heads, custom color spinner baits and do not pass up his jigs I think it will put a few more fish in the boat and if you get to meet Lonnie just ask him how to fish his stuff he will tell you and try it , it will work. www.fishstanley.com

One of coolest things I have gotten for fishing

Ever since I purchased my 2011 Silverado the one regret that I had was no backup camera. Everyone that hooks up a boat know the back up till you get close

And when you travel with Nanda you need luggage bearers to unload you’d think I was on Safari. LOL. I digress we only had a half a day to fish as I did not
