The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) recently introduced a bill, HB 1307 – State Boat Act, that would increase your boat registration fees. The fee increases range from $50 - $700 depending on boat size. For example, a boat that is 16 – 32 feet would cost $125 every two years to register, as compared the current flat fee of $24. Spent a wonderful day on the Chesapeake Bay yesterday trolling for Stripped bass with my fishing Buddy. Believe it or not, it was my 17 year old daughter.
