After striking out on a michigan spring tradition of perch fishing the ditches, I went sucker fishing. I was able get two, it was great to get out.
I ice fish anywhere I can find ice. I like to pick spots I had sucess in during the summer in middle winter, fish go deep to find cool water in the summer and warmer water in the deep freeze. Ice has been a premuim this winter in Mid-michigan, but I headed up to the Harrison area for some ice fishing.There was about 9in of ice. I caught a few perch but the fishing was mostly slow. It was a change to be fishing with a jacket unzipped and no gloves in the beggining of Feb.
