My fishing lure business has had an amazing year! I have the anglers across N.America to thank for that! We are going into 2011 with an awesome team of anglers in both Canada and the USA, I'm proud to have 2 BASS Elite anglers on team Strikezone Travis Manson of Wisconsin and Matt Greenbatt of Florida! It truly is a dream to compete at this level and I wish Travis and Matt all the best for 2011. We have designed a new swimbait which has already won a tournament in Conneticuit for my good freind Pro-Angler Terry Backsay , as well as our top 10 finnish in this years BPS Lake Simcoe Open. Our 2010 bass season has come to an end, but not before some amazing days on the water, I took my two boys Trevor 11 and Bradley 9, on a beautiful sunny day a couple of weeks ago,my freind Dave Chong joined us for the day, with over 20 bass boated for the, our best 5 smallies would"ve tipped the scales at 30+ lbs! The smiles on the kids faces seemed to last all day! Before the season closed, Dave and I joined up with our good freind and Canadian fishing icon Gord Pyzer, for a day on Lake Erie, Gord wrote an article in Inn-Fisherman magazine in 2008 about the sculpin/goby connection which included my signature bait -the Slammer. The water color on Erie was quite murky, we chose the swimbaits as the tail-action would add vibration underwater, well it paid off as we boated over 30 fish for the day! The majority of fish came off the swimbait, but slammers accounted for some nice bronzebacks also, our biggest topped 6 lbs. but we caught several 5 + fish as well .Gord took some amazing pictures as usual, a day I will never forget! The following day we attended the grand opening of the new Sail sports store in Ottawa, our newest Strikezone dealer, all I can say is Wow! What a store! I got a chance to talk with many people and was pleasantly surprised to find many were already customers of mine. With the the business getting busier than I could ever imagine I have had to make the difficult decision to leave Extreme Angler TV. This was a difficult decision, but one I had to make as I really want to make more time for my family and business, I thank Karl for the opportunity and will miss the laughs on and off-camera, filming EATV was a great experience and one I will not forget! I'm getting ready to get my tackle put away which is always sad, but will keep you posted on the steelhead and ice-fishing trips I have comming up. Tightlines. Mark
