When I started my bait company in 2006 I never imagined it would take-off like it did! Ontario anglers found that they could catch more and bigger fish by drop-shotting Slammers, it wasnt too long before US anglers caught on also, five years and several new products later , we found the need to change our company name from Strikezone Tournament Baits to Xzone Lures inc. same great baits -new name ! I had a busy week as I vivited Kingston Ontario , while I was invited as a guest speaker at the CBAF Avid anglers club, I enjoyed talking about the new products and techniques that I have been working on, I also got a chance to visit and chat with my good freinds Terry Holder , Paul Legacy and Ashley Rae. The trip provided me with a bit of an escape from my daily routine. On my way back home I visited my good freind and Xzone pro-staffer Curtis Richardson from Bellville Ont. I gave Curtis some of my new swimbaits I named Swammers , after checking out the swimming action off the boat ramp Curtis expressed his approval , my pro-staff's input is very important to me as I cant be on the water as much as I would like! Speaking of Pro-staff input -two of my good freinds Xzone, members Dave Chong and young-gun mike Morson just came in 1st place in the Lake Muskoka Pike tournament out of Gravenhurst , witha five fish total length of 162.75 inchs -secured by a 38 incher Mike caught on a 4 inch white Swammer! We now have a new website with our up-dated product and color list, my good freind John Whyte put it together -I think it looks great , we will be updated it with video and riging and fishing tips . We are still waiting for our custom clamshells to come in from overseas -we are expecting them within a week or so, we will then be releasing the highly anticipated Swammers into stores. This week Dave Chong will be filming a walleye segment on the Kawarthas, I'm looking forward to sharing the day in my blog, till then tight lines!
