Central Florida Bass Fishing

Posted On September 17, 2011
We are currently in a transition period here in Central Florida. Rainy July and August have our lakes up and now with the dew points getting lower in the evenings the water temparture is going down. Fish should be moving from their summer deep water to the shallows very soon. This is the time of year we get schooling bass and it is not uncommon to catch 5 with over 6 lb average in a less than thirty minutes. The bait of choice here is the Strike King Red Eye Shad in the Gold with Black back color. If you can't get a trap through the thick hydrilla switch to a Reaction Innovation Skinny Dipper in Houdin or Pearl White colors. Fish the skinny dipper (swim bait) weightless and pull through the grass mats or above the hyrdilla. Best lakes right now are Lake Toho in Kissimmee and Lake Jackson. Hope to see you on the water soon.  Check out my website for additional central florida information www.steve-jarrett.com
