NokOut Product Review

Posted On February 07, 2012
I was given the chance a while ago to test out a new product called "NokOut". It is a scent eliminator llike some that you may see in the hunting department of your local outdoor sports store. But this stuff works!

I figured the best way to test this out is to do it slowly over time in real life situations, not the normal little experiments. With 2 boys and two big dogs at home it was pretty easy to test. I will go through each smell that I encounters and how affective NokOut was.

Cooking Odours: My wife cannot stand when I fillet and cook fresh perch in the kitchen. With a fresh catch I filleted up some perch, threw them in a pan and cooked them up. It smelled great to me but I knew that I had to get the smell gone fast. I rinsed out the pan, sprayed some NokOut on the cutting board, pan and utensils. I also sprayed the air a few times. I have to be honest, I didn't know if the smell was gone because I never notice it anymore. My wife got home and I waiting for her to say something. She walked into the kitchen, got a drink, then asked me what I wanted for dinner. She didn't believe that I just cooked fish in the kitchen.

My Work Boots: I don't have to explain, I wear my work boots for 60 hours per week. My daily routine at the end of the day is: I walk in the door, take off my boots and sit down. 10 seconds later my wife throws the boots outside. I told her to give them a spray with NokOut and it worked. She was expecting a strong scent but she said "they just smell like new boots".

Onion Hands: I was told to rub a cut onion on my hands, let it dry then spray my hands with NokOut. That smell is not easy to get out but this stuff is good.

Livewell Smell: So it came time to winterize my boat and the smell that I encountered when I opened my livewell was not pleasant to say the least. I found about a half dozen minnows in there that had been there for a while. After a quick rinse with water, I spayed it a couple times and closed the lid. After opening it about 30 minutes later the smell was gone.

By now you're probably thinking that I run the company that makes NokOut. Well I wish I did! Not often do you actually find a product that delivers like this stuff. I am not sure where it can be bought just yet but I will post it when I find out.

Here are some other smells that it worked for me on:

Vomit
Pet Urine
Cat Spray
Gym Clothes
Gym Equipment
Hydraulic Oil
Cigarretes
Garbage
Fridge
and that weird smell in my truck is now gone

Bittersweet Symphony

Bittersweet Symphony First off I couldn't have asked for a better weekend to close the cottage; perfect weather, friends, food and fun! I got a late start to the weekend and got to the cottage around 6:30PM. We headed out to Neighbors Restaurant to have some dinner and came back to sit by the fire and warm up the cottage.  I decided to head out and try and get some night pics.

Salmon Fishing & Facts of Fishing Kids Day

I was asked to help out at Dave Mercer's Facts of Fishing kids day at Ontario Place and we decided to hit up a river to go Salmon fishing before it started. Ryan picked me up in Cambridge at 4:45 and we headed to the Credit to try and get some salmon at the mouth.  We started out trolling spoons for a bit and chatted away with no luck  Ryan's dad decided to

I can see clearly now the fog is gone, Lake 0ntario August 27th

I met up with my buddy Matt at 4:30AM. After a quick inventory and coffee stop we were off to meet Pikeslayer. Arrived at the launch just before 6AM and got the boat in the water. We didn't really think the fog was as bad as it was until we got out a bit. It was THICK!!!  The fog stuck around for a while but Simon got all the rods setup quickly. It was nice to just sit back
