My Personal Record.

I usually fish for Smallmouth Bass, but on this day I hooked into this chubby Largemouth Bass. I would estimate it was in the low 6's. It could have been more or less, as I am a bad estimater. It had a big ol' belly. It put up a great fight. I caught it on 6'6" Shamino rod with 8 lb. Berkley Trilene line using a white Booyeah spinner bait with brass blades and a white twisty grub add-on. The biggest Largemouth Bass I've caught, so far.

Spring Maintainence and New Gear.

"Fishing Gear" is one of the first things I check off my annual spring cleaning list. I always change out my fishing lines. This year it's Berkley Big Game. Clean and lube my reels and rods. Sharpen my hooks.Buy new tackle. Organize my tackle. This year the tackle goes in a new Berkley tackle bag. The new bag also goes nicely with my new WFN hat I received as part of

Me and a friend headed out to Pitt Polder Ecological Reserve near Pitt Lake, B.C to try our luck for some smallmouth Bass. The temperature was about 2 degrees C, the wind was about 10-15km's. We tried several approaches, swimming a jig, jerkbait's, bottom dragging some tube's and slow

...Anything To Do With FISHING !!!

The best gifts are always to do with fishing. Nothing say's "Merry Christmas" like a new rod and reel combo, or a stocking stuffed with tackle. This year, it came in the form of a gift certificate to my favorite fishing shop, Riverside Fly and Tackle (Port Coquitlam, B.C) and a copy of my favorite fishing magazine, BASSMAN, which is an excellent Canadian read. Thank's Candice.

Starting out the new year right.

I figured I would start the new year off by updating my WFN profile. 2011 was an excellent year for fishing. I caught a lot of Bass and Salmon. 2012 will be an amazing year as well. I plan on going twice as much as I did last year, which was 3-4 times a week. I would like to blog more, but I can't, I gotta go fishing. See you out there.

I have been fishing for 33 years now and still can't get enough. I love fishing for Bass, but I also enjoy all types of fishing for a variety of species. If there is water nearby and a rod close at hand, you can sure bet i'll be fishing.
