These days my number one reason for disliking our winters is the lack of open water. I have come to enjoy ice fishing but, dropping a lure down a hole does not compare to the feeling of casting a lure out over open water.
Yesterday was another great day out on the ice on Guelph Lake. After my last trip there at the end of December we had a thaw that left the lake open. In a little over a week there is once again 12-inches of ice and great fishing.
