Anglers looking to learn about the latest fishing gear, need to look no further than Getting School'd with JP DeRose, on WFN: World Fishing Network. The third season of television's ultimate fishing gear show begins this week, on Wednesday, February 2 at 7:30 pm ET, as host JP DeRose takes a look at flipping trees with creature baits and shows viewers how to use them effectively on the water.
Getting School'd with JP DeRose is a WFN Original production shot entirely in HD. The 13-part, 30-minute series details the newest products in the fishing industry. Hosted by DeRose, a 10-year fishing professional and self-described "fishing gear-head," anglers learn about the latest fishing rods, reels, lures, and accessories on the market. Throughout the season, the show will highlight many of the best products unveiled at this past year's ICAST show in Las Vegas with personal recommendations from seasoned pros. JP even takes products onto the water, showing viewers specific techniques to enhance their next fishing experience.
"We have a great season on tap for anglers who are looking for an edge to catch more fish," said DeRose. "Every week you'll not only learn about the newest products, but you'll get insight from the top pros, and we'll breakdown the specific techniques step-by-step, giving anglers the information they want and need."
To kick-off the season, JP's Gear Giveaway is offering anglers the chance to win $500 of JP's favorite fishing gear. To enter, anglers should visit www.worldfishingnetwork.com/geargiveaway from February 2 -March 31, 2011 and tell JP the five fishing products on their wish list. One winner will be randomly selected and awarded a $500 gift card to the outdoor retailer of their choice with a custom list from JP himself.
