STORIES TOURNAMENT NEWS Posted Feb 10, 2015 Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap Tournament The 4th annual Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap tournament took place on February 8th on Guntersville Lake. This year the turnout was huge with over 190 entries. The weather was great and the fishing was too.Boyd Duckett came out to cheer on the anglers and is a sponsor of the tournament through Duckett Fishing. What sets this event apart from all other tournaments is that you must use a bait sold by Bill Lewis Outdoors. The lure of choice was their Rat-L-Trap, the ultimate tool for wintertime grass fishing! This year with the help of Wes Higgins, President of Bill Lewis Outdoors, the author was allowed to fish for Fishing for Soldiers and the Robert Sutton challenge. This was one of several events that will be a part of this effort to raise money for The Wounded Warrior Project. How it works is simple. Check out Fishing for Soldiers at w.w.w.fishingforsoldiers.com. Once on the site, check out the Robert Sutton challenge. Donations can be a one-time deal or by pledging money per-the-pound amount of my tournament weight. All money goes directly to the Wounded Warrior Project. During my time at tournament locations, any wounded warrior may contact me for a day on the lake or just to spend time to learn about fishing and how they can be a part of it. Several of my sponsors throughout the year will be donating product and money to this cause. In future articles I will list the tournaments and sponsors who value those brave men and woman who sacrificed it all for freedom! Thanks for your support! God Bless. Fishing Rob.
