RECIPES FLOUNDER Posted Jun 17, 2011 By: leadhead Cedar Plank Flounder Marinate the flounder for 1 hour with your favorite marinade. ( better if left to marinate all day ) I like Lawry's Baja Chipolte. Soak cedar planks in water for 2 hours. You can add white wine to the water for extra flavor. Pre-heat grill on high. Place the flounder fillets on the cedar planks and put the planks on the grill. Sprinkle crushed pistachio breading on the fillets. Cook on high for 5 minutes. The bottom of the boards should should be smoking by then. ( keep a spray bottle of water near the grill and spray the planks if they catch on fire ) Lower heat to medium high and cook for 15 minutes. Do not flip the fillets. The fillets are ready when the fish flakes easily with a fork. Serve with grilled pineapple and mango salsa.
