Pro’s Picks: The Ultimate Fishing Rig
Armed with nothing more than a burning question and a 140 character limit, I took to twitter to question some of today’s top professional and semi-pro anglers, all in the name of getting the low down on their go to gear. I asked each angler what they would take on a fishing trip if they only had time to grab one rod, reel, line, and lure before leaving. They got no details on what kind of body of water they’d be fishing, how they’d be fishing, or even what species of fish they’d be fishing for, but that didn’t stop many of them from coming right back at me with a quick response. Proof, in my book at least, that every pro and semi-pro angler alike has an all-around, any situation, any species, ultimate fishing rig.
Here are the top 10 responses I received from professional and semi-pro anglers when asked what one rod, reel, line, and lure they would go to if it was the only gear they could grab:
