Fly Fishing Salisbury Lake
Mark and myself went up to Steak Lake yesterday for some rainbows.. All in all it was a good day on the water, about 25-30 trout were caught and released. We trolled leeches and other bugs in shades of brown and orange. After we headed into shore the rises were nuts, everywehere on the lake close to the shore. I casted about 6 to 10 times just for fun and had several bites and 3 more C&R’s.

Shoreline development can destroy pumpkinseed spawning grounds. An increase in silt, due to shoreline erosion, covers spawning sites with sand causing a disruption in spawning. Heavy lake use can also stir up water and disrupt spawning activities. However populations are not considered at risk in the great lakes area.
