Position: Copywriting Internship
This internship is a non-paid position from Spring 2012 (As early as January 1st) to Summer 2012 (June 30th), to work with the Sr. Marketing Director and marketing/creative team at WFN: World Fishing Network. WFN will be able to accommodate scheduled obligations like school or work commitments on an individual basis, please include your availability in the application.
Internship Description:
- Assist in the development of fresh and unique copy for marketing and sales initiatives including print, online, mobile and broadcast
- Able to develop or amend campaign copy based on strategy and/or client feedback
- Work reflects an appropriate approach to objectives, strategy and brand
- Participate in brainstorms and offering suggestions and ideas on ways to improve the overall quality of work
- Must work well individually and in a team environment
Qualifications & Applicant Requirements:
- Post-secondary student in their final year or a recent graduate in English, marketing, communications or advertising (or related field)
- Excellent grammar, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Knowledge and interest in writing for online media as well as social media (Facebook, Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon, blogs and forums)
- Keen, articulate, a problem-solver and reliable
- Self-motivated with an attention to detail and able to hit the ground running
- Enthusiastic team player
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and PDF creation is an asset but not required
